Senegal

Jesus said, “Come follow me and I will make you to be fishers of Men”

For the last five hundred years SENEGAL has been subject to enslavement. The Portuguese went there in the 1700s and captured its citizens for sale and shipment to South America and the Caribbean. In the 1800s it served as a slave to colonialism under the French government. Today, while politically free, it is like all nations, a slave to the master of Sin. The good news is this: The bonds of sin are being broken by a new master, Jesus!

By way of an enterprising entrepreneur, Douglas Boateng of Ghana, a fishing business has been established that has allowed Ghanaian missionaries to enter the country, get the church registered, and begin low-key evangelism that is bringing souls to Christ. You see, we fish for men, but we set them free.

Senegal is 94% Muslim, but missionary Arnold Dzah and Douglas are proving to us once again that the Gospel works with Muslims, too. A national Ghanaian, Arnold Dzah, with the assistance of American missionary Barry Baggot, are able to broadcast every Sunday in the French language to the residents of Dakar, the capital city, and reach out into the homes of over 1 million people.

People are coming to Christ, churches like this one are being opened, and the Gospel is working in a Muslim nation! We need YOU to “fish” in Senegal as your next mission project! Call today for details!  Ken
