Today this work continues with the help of many U.S. congregations and their team members. The work has expanded well beyond
the “free” medical and dental services, which are always performed under the authority of Mexican national medical professionals.
These are some of the additional areas of work:
· Nurses, hygienists and therapists
are extremely valuable in assisting the doctors and dentists by taking blood pressure readings and giving specific health care instructions
as needed..
· Pharmacists and assistants are needed to dispense, educate, and instruct
patients in the proper way to take the medication prescribed.
· Optometrists and assistants
provide eye glasses to thousands of people so they can once again read the Bible or thread a needle.
· Preachers and Bible teachers share Bible lessons to illustrate to the young and old alike how to apply the Word of God in our everyday
lives.
· Christian volunteers and teenagers have an opportunity and privilege to serve
and encourage our Mexican neighbors and let them know that they too are God’s chosen people.
