One may not immediately see the result of the charitable work we as a church of the Lord is doing in the Gambia now and, as such may decide not to sponsor a child or our school extension project, but from the story of each of these kids and many others with even more heartbreaking stories being sponsored most by members of Center Street Church of Christ (Fayetteville, Arkansas), Bella Vista Church of Christ (Bella Vista Arkansas) and the Alabaster church of Christ (Alabama) and few at Alkire Road (Ohio) and White Ferry Road (La).
Well one clear result that demands more of our support and sponsorship for these kids and many who are in need, is that the love of Christ being demonstrated by sponsors is turning these kids that poverty was turning into humanity trash into heavenly treasure – love is redemptive, if we could just keep on sharing it by the preaching of the gospel or sponsoring the needed our world will be save.
At full capacity our school Living Children Academy have the capacity to hold over 400 pupils but we currently have 261 due to lack of sponsorship with over 100 on sponsorship, we are struggling to rise $40,000 to purchase land for the high school and $25,000 has been raised. If you can assist please write and let me know. As our goal is to purchase this land and put up a high school in the next two to three years.

Life is designed for both weeping and reaping (rejoicing) - Psalm 126:5
We had our fair share of life in 2009 and that has prepared us for 2010. Death laid its cold hands on my mother in the month of October. Then came the shocking news of the death of sister Mitchell Georgina, wife of brother Michelle, a key supporter and co-worker increased our tears. We lost a couple of supporters and sponsorship, cancelled a mission trip, battled with malaria, and some family and financial setbacks made us unable to send our girls to college. These are some of the things that brought tears down our cheek last year as we went out sowing in tears. But guess what; because none of the above dampened our faith, the Lord rewarded our faith with the following:
In The Gambia and on other mission trips, 111
souls were won. Many enrolled for WBS (photo). One new church was planted in Pujehun,
Sierra Leone. One seminar was conducted successfully.
The school of religious studies in The Gambia conducted its 8th graduation with eight students, bringing the total number graduated in nine years to 90 students. The school of religious studies in Kono, Sierra Leone had its second graduation with eight students. Two mission trips made resulted in over 40 baptisms. Elder Bill Phillis donated towards completion of our mission and family house in Liberia ($1,000).
World Radio outreach continues to blaze the airwaves with the saving Gospel of Christ over the last ten years. Our World Radio program in The Gambia has been a must listen to Christian broadcast that has brought joy, salvation, comfort and more to the lives of hundreds in a predominantly Muslim nation where we continue to serve as a voice in the wilderness, thanks to World Radio support.
Tons of prayers and words of comfort came from many of our supporters and sponsors. A count of our blessings indicates that we had more rejoicing then weeping all because of the goodness of God and you our generous and prayerful supporters and sponsors. To the Lord we give all the praise, honor, and thanks, and offer a big thank-you to you all.
The problems we encountered last year have prepared us for the possibilities in this year 2010. With God on our side and you lifting up our hands, we declare this year a year a breakthrough in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Already since the beginning of this year the
Lord has added a total of 10 souls unto His body in The Gambia and 12 in the
planting of a second congregation in Kono, Sierra Leone, directly related to our
mission work. To Him be the glory for all the plans lined up this year and the
results to come. Your prayers and support are the arms that lift up our hands.

Habakkuk, the prophet, foresaw the days when the knowledge of God’s glory will flood the world as the waters covers the sea. Habakkuk 2:14 God flooded the antediluvian world with water from beneath and above. Our question is: How is He going to bring about this global flooding with the Gospel?
This flooding is not by speaking from heaven or causing a literal rain of His word from heaven, but by the preaching of the Gospel by His church. Mk 16:15-16 Hence, the church is God’s vessel to flood this world with His Word to cover the world with the Good News as the waters covers the sea.
To flood the world with God’s Word is an enormous task, but praise God that He has provided multiple methods, means, or strategies to make this mission possible: radio, tracts, mission trips, gospel meetings, seminars, Bible correspondence courses, ect.
To make sure that God’s Word is establish in The Gambia by His church, we are using the airwaves to preach the Gospel to thousands. Most of these are Muslims, as 90% of Gambians are Muslim. We are flooding the land with tracts and depicting the truth of the Gospel by showing “The Passion of Christ” in different localities in and around Serekunda.
Our goal is to cover Africa’s smallest nation with the Word of God as the waters cover the sea; the results have been mixed. During tract distribution, some receive gladly and others reject and insult us. For our radio broadcast, many compliment the forcefulness and truthfulness of our messages and say Gambia needs such preaching. “The Passion of Christ” continues to draw a huge crowd everywhere we air it. This is opening for us new contacts for personal work.
With all the labor we put into the spreading and preaching of the Gospel, the Lord added one soul at Central, two at Kanifing, and 10 enrolled for WBS.
As you know that our mission crosses borders too, Alexander Ofori, Ron Pottberg, and I will be traveling to Sierra Leone on a weeklong mission trip, after which Ron and I will proceed to Liberia for more work. We need your prayers.
I wish to offer special thanks to all our supporters and sponsors that have not allowed the economic slowdown in the U.S. and across the globe to slow down our vision and mission, even though we have experienced some little drop in response to our appeals in recent times. But to God be the glory that we are staying on course with the Great Commission.
